Murthy Veeraghanta, chairman and managing director

Murthy Veeraghanta is chairman and managing director of VSoft Corporation, an Atlanta-based provider of payment and banking software solutions for financial institutions. Murthy has over 21 years of experience in the financial services technology industry. He co-founded VSoft in 1996 and has grown the company from inception to a global company serving more than 1900 user institutions that range in diversity from large, international banks, corporate credit unions and service bureaus to small community banks and credit unions.

Murthy has spearheaded the development of VSoft’s operations in the U.S. and India, with full fledged product development and sales organizations in both countries. These operating units of VSoft serve an increasingly global base with customers in the U.S., India and the Philippines.

Murthy also co-founded Vector Consulting, a software services firm providing payment systems consulting and project management to banks and service bureaus. His early work experience was with Unisys Corporation as part of a select national team that customized, installed, and supported transaction processing systems for large North American commercial banks such as Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase.

Murthy has a master’s in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Shekar Viswanathan, Executive Vice President

Shekar Viswanathan is a co-founder of VSoft Corporation and Vector Consulting, Inc. He has over 15 years of data processing experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining VSoft, he was instrumental in establishing the Financial Payment System consulting division of Vector Consulting, Inc. He was also responsible for setting up the Administrative and Finance Divisions of Vector Consulting, Inc. 

Prior to forming Vector Consulting, Inc., Shekar also consulted with large commercial banks, including CitiBank and Chase Manhattan, in the area of payment systems. He also implemented the IPS check processing systems for Unisys Corporation.

Puneet Malhotra, Vice President of Sales & Business Development

 

Puneet Malhotra is the vice president of Sales & Business Development for VSoft Corporation, an Atlanta-based provider of payment and banking software solutions for financial institutions. He brings more than 15 years of cross-functional experience including sales management, enterprise-wide consultative and solution sales, account management, strategic reseller partnerships, product management, conceptualizing and launch of new products, management of software implementation and development teams. 

 

In his position, Puneet directs the enterprise-wide sales team efforts across all market segments.  He is responsible for the overall business relationship with the existing customer base and for driving new customer acquisitions. He is part of the executive team at VSoft, helping in defining and execution of the strategic direction.

 

Puneet earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Walchand Institute of Technology in India and a Masters in Business Administration from Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

 

Satish Kumar, CEO, VSoft India 

Satish Kumar is the CEO of VSoft Infosol Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Atlanta based VSoft Corporation, a global provider of payment and banking software solutions for financial institutions. In his role as the CEO, Satish oversees all business operations at VSoft India office in Hyderabad.

Satish was instrumental in setting up the VSoft’s Hyderabad office from the stages of registration and infrastructure setup. He began by setting up a team of talented professionals for product development, software development services, and product support. Under his lead, VSoft achieved a profit increase of over 50% in just eight months of operation.

Satish has over 24 years of management and technical expertise. Prior to joining VSoft, Satish held key management positions with iLabs, where he was Technology Head for iLabs’ Telecom initiative; Head (India Operations) of Ingenovis, the life science informatics division of iLabs; Technology Head for iVision, iLabs’ all-Digital News Agency. Formerly, Satish was Director of Aspen Technologies Private Limited, Hyderabad; Founder Director of Axis Systems Private Limited, Hyderabad. Satish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), India.
